Mentoring
The WP/SEAR Mentoring Model
The Mentoring Model outlines a way for WP/SEAR participants (organisations responsible for nursing and midwifery regulation in their host country) to form learning partnerships that can assist regulators from countries with developing regulatory structures. Questions and feedback on the model are welcome and can be directed to the WP/SEAR Co-ordinator at the address below.
| Mentee | Mentor |
| Sri Lanka | ACT Nursing and Midwifery Board |
| Cambodia | Nurses Board of Victoria |
| Nepal | Queensland Nursing Council |
| Vietnam | Nurses and Midwives Board of South Australia |
| Vanuatu | Nursing Council of New Zealand |
Expressions of interest in participating in a mentoring relationship, either as a mentor (one who provides mentoring assistance) or as a mentee (one who receives mentoring assistance) are welcome and can be emailed to the WP/SEAR Co-ordinator. Please indicate the following:
- your name
- your country
- your contact details
- whether you are offering your services as a mentor, requesting to have a mentor, or both (some participants may be in a position to offer their services as a mentor as well as being interested in having a mentor to assist their own development)
- any specific skills or resources you may bring to a relationship (eg. knowledge of Information Technology)
- any preferences you have for the regulatory body(ies)/person(s) you would like to partner with, including details of any informal partnerships that may be existing with your preferred partner.
