ANMC Research and Policy Initiatives
As the peak national organisation established for the purpose of bringing a national approach to the regulatory framework for the professions of nursing and midwifery, the ANMC leads, and is responsible for supporting and establishing research initiatives to support this agenda. The ANMC works in partnership with the state and territory Nursing and Midwifery Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs) to attain this goal of national consistency in regulation.
Over the last few years, the ANMC has undertaken many national projects as part of its Research and Policy program, such as the development of competency standards for registered and enrolled nurses, midwives and nurse practitioners, and the development of codes of ethics and conduct. Details of these projects and current projects can be found by clicking on the following links.
Details of international projects can be found on the International Projects Page.
